What does WaSala mean?

WaSala is the Arabic word meaning “to connect” or “connection”. WaSala, an Arabic community center located in Dearborn, Michigan, serves to connect people, communities, and ideas locally and abroad. It targets young technologically affluent adults of Arabic decent locally and overseas through the use of social media, current world events, cultural appreciation, and community interaction. It turns a traditionally introvert activity into an extroverted activity performed with others in order to promote peace overseas.
